Great for caring for fine knife blades, this real old-fashioned kid skin Chamois was tanned in Gloverville, NY using non-toxic vegetable dyes. The Cooper tannery is the last of the tanneries left in this famous leather tanning area and owned and operated by an original Gloverville tanning family. It is very soft and supple, and best used for cleaning and wiping off knife blades and bolsters. This is the preferred stuff used in knife shops over the centuries - it lasts for years and years. The Coopers take special pride in using a historic tanning process in the making of their Chamois. Do not wash! Washing destroys the wonderful inherent properties of the kid leather.
